BUILD YOUR CONFIDENCE FOR THE WORK AHEAD 12 weeks • Live online via Zoom • $499 USD Learn what an Intimacy Coordinator does, why the role matters, and how to approach intimate scenes with practical judgment, artistic sensitivity and an understanding of working film sets. This university-level course is designed with independent productions in mind and welcomes aspiring and working ICs and filmmakers worldwide. WHAT YOU WILL STUDY The IC role and set dynamics; communication with actors and production; consent and boundaries; script analysis and table-read preparation; contracts and riders; choreography, movement and camera considerations; closed sets, modesty garments and barriers; actor psychology, power dynamics and conflict resolution. Historical case studies help you recognize risks and understand why these practices became necessary. FORMAT AND COMMITMENT • Weekly live Zoom classes at the same day and time each week. Check the listed cohort schedule and your local time before booking. • Plan for 6–8 hours per week in total, including live classes, reading, viewing and assignments. • Attend the first live class and at least 10 of the 12 sessions in full to be eligible for certification. • Complete the required homework, a midterm project and a final presentation. • Required reading and viewing include Kristen’s memoir Shevolved and assigned scenes from Outlander and Sense8. The material addresses nudity, simulated intimacy and distressing industry experiences; consider your readiness for this subject matter before enrolling. SUPPORT BEYOND GRADUATION Your connection to Film Intimacy Professionals continues after the course ends. Kristen offers ongoing guidance as graduates put their learning into practice and navigate questions from the set.
